At Puppy Yoga Melbourne, we are dedicated to creating a unique wellness experience by combining the physical and mental benefits of yoga with our love for animals. Our mission is to provide a peaceful environment where participants can enjoy their practice while experiencing the therapeutic benefits of human-animal interaction. The presence of puppies promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and boosts overall mood. At the same time, our puppies benefit from socialisation, building confidence, and developing calm, regulated nervous systems as they prepare for their forever homes.
What can I expect in a session?

We’re fortunate to also run Homestead Puppies, a licensed breeder of Cavoodles, Moodles, Spoodles, and Poochons. For over a decade, we’ve been breeding genetically healthy puppies. Our sessions are typically scheduled when our own puppies are around 6 weeks old and ready to begin their socialisation program with new people before heading to their forever homes. If we don’t have puppies available, we work closely with other licensed breeders who meet the same high government standards for animal welfare. We also make it a priority to collaborate with rescue shelters and local council pounds to help re-home as many puppies as possible.
All our kittens come from rescue shelters, and we partner with them to host adoption days as part of our yoga classes
To ensure everything runs smoothly and hygienically, please leave your shoes and any belongings in the provided storage in the studio, and sanitise your hands upon entry. We also kindly ask that no additional people accompany you unless they are attending the session. Our studio is deep-cleaned between sessions, so everyone can enjoy a safe and joyful experience.
Each session lasts 60 minutes, starting with 35 minutes of yoga while our animals roam freely.
We ensure everyone gets equal time with the puppies and kittens throughout the class.
This is followed by a 10-minute meditation and then 15 minutes of animal interaction time—your chance to take photos, cuddle, and enjoy a beautiful herbal tea.
Our sessions are specially designed to leave you feeling calm and relaxed, with the perfect balance of puppy time and you time, leaving you with a heart full of joy as you leave.
Unfortunately, no. We provide all the animals for our classes to ensure the safety of both participants and animals. This allows us to keep everything regulated, so you can simply come, relax, and enjoy the experience without any responsibilities.
We’ve got everything covered! Just come in comfy clothes and bring a bottle of water. We provide a bathroom on site, sanitised mats, blankets, and after-class herbal tea, which you can enjoy while cuddling with our puppies and kittens.
We kindly ask that you put your phone away during the 45-minute yoga session to fully enjoy the practice and connect with the beautiful animals. At the end of class, we’ll give you 15 minutes to take out your phone and capture the sweetest moments with our puppies and kittens.
Our sessions are open to everyone, no matter your experience level. Whether you’re new to yoga or an experienced Yogi, all are welcome. Yoga isn’t just for women—men enjoy our classes just as much!
Participants must be 5 years or older to participate in our classes.
We also encourage adult supervision for children under 10.

Wouldn’t that be lovely! Unfortunately, the puppies that join our classes are too young for adoption and still need specialised care until they are 8 weeks old, which is when they can legally leave. During the class, you’ll receive information about where the puppies come from, and you’ll be welcome to contact the breeders directly for a one-on-one experience if you’re considering adoption.
As for our kittens, we run classes in collaboration with rescue shelters to help them find forever homes. We’ll host adoption days as part of the yoga sessions, giving you the opportunity to adopt if you form a special connection during class.
