TERMS & CONDITIONS
These Terms & Conditions apply to all classes, events, bookings, and services operated by Puppy Yoga Melbourne.
Puppy Yoga Melbourne is part of the team behind Homestead Puppies, an established Victorian breeder focused on puppy wellbeing, early socialisation, and ethical care.
By purchasing a ticket, making a booking, attending a class, entering a venue, or participating in a Puppy Yoga Melbourne event, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Media Consent, Photography & Video
Puppy Yoga Melbourne classes and events may be photographed, filmed, or recorded for promotional, marketing, advertising, social media, website, email, reporting, and business purposes.
By attending, you consent to Puppy Yoga Melbourne and Homestead Puppies capturing, using, editing, reproducing, publishing, and distributing photographs, video, audio, or other recordings that may include your image, voice, likeness, or participation.
This content may be used across Puppy Yoga Melbourne and Homestead Puppies channels, including websites, social media, paid advertising, email marketing, printed materials, brochures, public relations, and other promotional content.
All photography, video, and media captured by or on behalf of Puppy Yoga Melbourne remains the property of Puppy Yoga Melbourne.
You waive any right to inspect, approve, edit, or receive payment for the use of this content.
If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, you must notify Puppy Yoga Melbourne staff before the class begins. We will take reasonable steps to avoid capturing you directly, however you may still appear incidentally in group or background footage.
For participants under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must consent to these Terms & Conditions on their behalf.
2. Booking Communications & Email Marketing
When you purchase a ticket or make a booking with Puppy Yoga Melbourne, you agree to receive essential booking communications related to your class or event.
These may include booking confirmations, reminders, class updates, rescheduling information, cancellation notices, venue information, safety information, and customer service messages.
As part of the booking process, your email address may also be added to the Puppy Yoga Melbourne mailing list.
We may use this list to send relevant updates, offers, promotions, event news, puppy updates, and related content from Puppy Yoga Melbourne and Homestead Puppies.
You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us directly.
Unsubscribing from marketing communications will not stop essential service or booking-related messages about an existing booking.
Puppy Yoga Melbourne will handle booking and marketing communications in accordance with applicable Australian privacy and spam laws.
3. Class Details
Each Puppy Yoga Melbourne class generally includes beginner-friendly yoga followed by supervised puppy cuddle and interaction time.
Class structure, timing, puppy interaction, and inclusions may vary depending on the venue, event type, puppy welfare needs, teacher availability, and operational requirements.
Participants must be 5 years of age or older to attend public classes, unless stated otherwise for a specific event.
Puppy breeds and puppy availability may change at any time. While we may advertise a featured breed, this is subject to puppy welfare, health, temperament, breeder availability, and operational requirements.
4. Puppy Welfare & Participant Behaviour
The welfare of the puppies comes first.
By attending, you agree to:
- Follow all staff and instructor directions
- Handle puppies gently and respectfully
- Allow puppies to rest when needed
- Not pick up puppies unless permitted by staff
- Not chase, crowd, restrain, or overwhelm puppies
- Not feed puppies unless authorised by staff
- Not bring outside animals into the venue
- Not attend if you are unwell or contagious
Puppy Yoga Melbourne may refuse entry or remove any participant whose behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, inappropriate, or harmful to puppies, staff, venues, or other participants. Where this occurs, the participant’s ticket may be forfeited.
5. Tickets, Cancellations & Rescheduling
Tickets are non-refundable for change of mind, non-attendance, late arrival, illness, personal circumstances, or failure to read these Terms & Conditions.
You may reschedule your ticket to a future class if you notify us at least 48 hours before your booked session.
Reschedule requests made within 48 hours of your booked session may result in the forfeiture of your ticket.
If you do not attend your class and have not contacted us within the required notice period, your ticket will be forfeited and cannot be refunded or rescheduled.
Late arrivals may not be admitted once the class has started, as this can disrupt the session and affect the puppies’ environment. If you arrive late and cannot be admitted, your ticket may be forfeited.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
If Puppy Yoga Melbourne cancels a class, makes a significant change to a class, or is unable to safely deliver the experience, we will offer a fair remedy in line with Australian Consumer Law.
This may include a reschedule, credit, or refund, depending on the circumstances.
6. Health, Safety, Allergies & Risk
By attending, you confirm that you are responsible for deciding whether you are physically and mentally able to participate.
You must tell the instructor before class if you have any injury, illness, pregnancy, allergy, medical condition, mobility issue, mental health concern, or other issue that may affect your participation.
If you are pregnant, injured, unwell, immunocompromised, or have a significant health concern, you should seek medical advice before attending.
Puppy Yoga Melbourne and its instructors do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or health recommendations.
You agree to follow all staff and instructor instructions. If you feel pain, discomfort, dizziness, distress, or feel unsafe at any time, you must stop participating and notify staff.
You acknowledge that Puppy Yoga Melbourne events involve physical activity, live animals, shared spaces, mats, props, venues, and interaction with other people.
Risks may include slips, trips, falls, physical injury, allergic reactions, illness, scratches, minor bites, accidental puppy contact, damage to clothing or belongings, lost or misplaced personal items, emotional discomfort, and other risks associated with yoga, public events, and animal interaction.
By attending, you voluntarily accept these risks.
To the extent permitted by law, you release Puppy Yoga Melbourne, Homestead Puppies, their owners, staff, contractors, instructors, agents, facilitators, breeders, venue partners, and affiliates from any claim, loss, damage, injury, illness, cost, or expense arising from your participation.
This does not exclude, restrict, or modify any rights that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law or other applicable laws.
7. Participants Under 18
Puppy Yoga Melbourne welcomes participants aged 5 years and over for public classes.
Participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, unless otherwise agreed by Puppy Yoga Melbourne.
To keep our classes safe, comfortable, and enjoyable for everyone, each person attending must have their own valid ticket. This includes children, parents, guardians, and supervising adults.
Children are not able to attend on a parent or guardian’s ticket, as tickets are issued per participant rather than per family or booking group.
Parents and guardians are responsible for the behaviour, safety, and supervision of any children attending with them.
By purchasing a ticket for a participant under 18, the parent or legal guardian agrees to these Terms & Conditions on the child’s behalf, including the media consent terms.
If a participant is under 5 years of age, or if an additional guest arrives without a valid ticket, Puppy Yoga Melbourne may be unable to allow entry.
Where entry cannot be provided due to the age requirement or an incomplete booking, the relevant ticket may be forfeited.
8. Event Changes
Puppy Yoga Melbourne may change class details due to weather, venue requirements, teacher availability, puppy welfare, puppy availability, health and safety concerns, operational issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
Changes may include venue, teacher, class time, puppy breed, number of puppies, event format, or session inclusions.
Where a major change occurs, Puppy Yoga Melbourne will act in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
9. Agreement
Puppy Yoga Melbourne may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Any changes will apply once published on this page.
By purchasing a ticket, making a booking, attending a class, entering a venue, or participating in a Puppy Yoga Melbourne event, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
